我们的使命

The primary mission of 多样性和大学入学机会 (DCA) is to improve the retention and graduation rates for 非裔美国人, 亚裔美国人和太平洋岛民, Latinx, 印第安人和LGBTQ+学生. DCA connects these students to on and off campus resources and supports pre-college programs for low-income, first generation and academically at-risk high school students.

The 多元文化资源中心 (MRC) at UWSP is designed to meet the specific needs of students from traditionally underrepresented groups. The MRC provides students with academic and social opportunities, seeking to encourage the success of UWSP’s Asian American, 非裔美国人, 以及拉丁裔学生.

The 美洲原住民中心 (NAC) supports and develops cultural programs on campus while building community for our Native students. These initiatives encourage the revitalization of Indigenous cultures and languages while providing a tether to Indigenous students who are away from their home and families. The NAC connects indigenous students to resources and encourages personal and professional development while fostering appreciation for their Indigenous identity and culture.

Bridge Program: LEADERSHIP, EMPOWERMENT AND DISCOVERY (LEAD)

LEAD is a summer bridge program that is focused on increasing first-year undergraduate students’ sense of belonging at UWSP. The program is aimed at providing a supportive community that promotes student success by getting first-year undergraduate students ahead and ready to start their college careers. 它专注于校园资源, 过渡到大学, 学生成功技巧, 社交及丰富活动, 以及未来校园领袖的培养.

Undergraduate students can fund their education through the Lawton grant. Graduate students should review the Advanced Opportunity Program Fellowship to further fund their education.

The Noel Compass Scholarship (NCS) is a privately funded scholarship established to encourage and reward academic achievement, 领导, and citizenship for students from Wisconsin high schools attending 必发360网址 (UWSP). For questions about the NCS, please contact Scott West at swest@ayxx.net.
